Abstract

This article presents a comprehensive analysis of continuous improvement progress at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Sciences (FIMCN) of Universidad Veracruzana (UV), based on the review of three annual reports (2022, 2023, and 2024). The objective is to document advances in enrollment, inclusion, tutorial coverage, faculty strengthening, infrastructure, and research, as part of an academic quality management model. The methodology employed was a longitudinal study with both quantitative and qualitative approaches, triangulating internal sources (official reports, academic and administrative records) and external sources (institutional indicators). The completion of Building A in 2023 and the strengthening of outreach with the productive sector and student mobility are also highlighted. Conclusions underline that FIMCN has consolidated a culture of continuous improvement, essential to respond to future accreditation challenges, social relevance, and international competitiveness.
