Abstract
Continuing education at the Universidad Veracruzana allows the updating of its graduates of educational programs at the bachelor's level through the offer of postgraduate studies. These postgraduate studies strengthen the skills, knowledge and talent of students. Continuing education offers flexibility to students who work full-time shifts, have family commitments, or live in rural areas.
Using the induction-deduction method, this work seeks to identify the process for the selection of applicants for the virtual postgraduate courses offered by the Universidad Veracruzana. At the Universidad Veracruzana before the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID – 19) virus pandemic, efforts were started to promote online education, and this became official from the time of the pandemic due to the uncertainty of the situation at that time. As a result of the urgent need to offer a new modality, it is at this time that some postgraduate educational programs are beginning to be virtualized, which make it more accessible for people with a life of multiple commitments to access this form of education. This modality of studies has been so accepted that UV is ranked among the best universities in the country, since it is committed to quality in education. This work aims to show in more detail the University's postgraduate programs, in particular how many are virtual, the advantages and processes to be able to take them, the offer and regulations of postgraduate programs, admission, as well as general requirements to enter any master's and/or doctorate offered. The differences between virtual (online) programs and the activities and responsibilities that come with taking them will also be analyzed.
